Business Development Associate

Argus is looking for a Business Development Associate that is ready to help focus and drive the next stage of our growth as a company. Are you a whip-smart, quick on the feet thinker who is adept at thinking outside the box? Are you comfortable following complex application forms, leaving no detail unchecked? We’d love to hear from you!** We’re looking for a business development professional who is excited to:

  • Lead Generation and tracking: Work collaboratively with our Leadership Team to identify accounts of interest and prospect lists. As this role grows, you will be responsible for outreach via phone and email, networking, booking appointments, identifying projects and opportunities, and following up.
  • Business Development tracking: Own our CRM function, including tracking of leads, setting up follow-up conversations, and identifying the appropriate next steps in the process.
  • Proposal writing: Lead coordination and writing of our responses to RFQs and RFPs. This will entail working with the leadership, accounts, strategy, and creative teams, as well as being able to draft compelling, tight copy and prose that tells the Argus story effectively.
  • Assembling pitch decks: Work with the CEO and Managing Director to coordinate assets and put together slides from various team members for decks.


  • 3-5 years’ experience in government, non-profit, or marketing, or grant writing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – writing samples requested
  • Interest in working in a mission/purpose-driven environment
  • Experience working with complex organizations with many stakeholders
  • Ability to write proposals, including SOWs and RFP responses
  • Experience with CRM and an ability to work across a variety of virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong Powerpoint/Google Slides skills a must
  • Expertise managing multiple projects at one time
