Our Latest Video Aims to Prevent Youth Violence

1 March 2012 Posted by

ARGUS has launched the “Stop. Think and Let it Go” video campaign in partnership with our client, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services as part of Massachusetts’s Safe and Successful Youth Initiative, to help prevent youth violence in our communities.

The video features emotional, real testimonies from family members who have lost loved ones due to violence and from youth who had previously engaged in violent acts.

“She didn’t have to die. She was stolen. Not from me, from her mom or her dad, but from everyone who loved her,” said Bayholla Jacobs, one of the subjects of the video, who lost her niece to gun violence. ”Don’t take your pain out on other people. Don’t lose yourself to violence.”

Our goal was to encourage young people to think and reconsider the consequences of their actions rather than engage in violence. In a recent interview with the Boston Globe, our Creative Director/Founder, Lucas Guerra said, “At the end of the day, what we want them to do is to think about the price of their actions and the impact on people’s lives…We want them to see that even though they might do something and not think about it, there are consequences.’’

Please join us in proliferating the “Stop. Think. Let it Go.” message by sharing the video with your networks through email, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube and any other social media channels you may have, and please ask your networks to share the video as well.
