The Boston Public Health Commission Selects ARGUS

12 March 2012 Posted by

The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) has selected ARGUS to launch the NeighborCare Campaign aimed at reducing the overutilization of emergency rooms for non-emergent care. Simultaneously BHC aims to educate residents on the benefits and quality of care available at the city’s numerous community health centers.

NeighborCare has established guidelines to facilitate communication between hospitals and community health centers to encourage emergency room patients to seek follow-up care at neighborhood medical facilities. As the communications agency for the NeighborCare Campaign, ARGUS is tasked with crafting a two-fold communications and outreach plan. The plan will raise awareness amongst city residents on the benefits of establishing a long-term primary care partnership with their local community health center and reshape their perceptions of these facilities as a better option to staying healthy by avoiding high stress levels at the expense of emergency room care.
