Argus is looking for a superb senior account manager with great relationship building skills and flawless attention to detail. The candidate will have 5–7 years of agency or equivalent experience, and be able to work independently in a collaborative setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. This is not a sales position.

Manage and develop client relationships

  • Lead account manager for multiple accounts
  • Act as the day-to-day agency resource for clients
  • Build relationships with client contacts
  • Understand the client’s business challenges to inform strategy including interpreting, prioritizing, and incorporating shifting information into existing marketing strategies
  • Anticipate and navigate around potential pitfalls and know when to escalate issues
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of agency recommendations, strategies, creative briefs, etc

Staff management and Project management and execution

  • Mentor junior staff
  • Proactively manage integrated projects across all disciplines including web, social, digital, print, and broadcast, across multiple clients
  • Effectively manage all day-to-day functions including quality control, leading client meetings, budget and timeline management
  • Actively evaluates creative work and provides feedback
  • Continually establish and manage schedules and ensure approvals

  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment – flexibility and adaptability are essential
  • Self-starter with regards to tasks, projects, and problem-solving
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently
  • Interest in understanding new marketing strategies, techniques, and technology
  • Appreciates the value of being able to do detail-oriented administrative work and high-level strategic thinking
