ARGUS ranked as 21st fastest growing inner city company in the U.S.

The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and Bloomberg BusinessWeek released the 2010 Inner City 100 list of the fastest-growing inner city companies in the U.S. For the fifth year in a row, ARGUS ranked 21 on this year’s list and was inducted into the ICIC Hall of Fame. The Inner City 100 program recognizes successful inner city companies and their CEO’s as role models for entrepreneurship, innovative business practices and job creation in America’s urban communities.

As a Hall of Famer, the ICIC invited ARGUS Principal, Zamawa Arenas, to speak at the CEO forum, hosted this year at the Harvard Business School. Zamawa gave a presentation on “Developing New Markets: Turning Marketing Initiatives into Revenue” and presented a case study in partnership with long-time client, Amy Kelley, Manager of Program Development at Comcast.

As a result of this year’s event, an article was published in the Boston Globe highlighting five of Massachusetts’s fastest growing companies in disadvantaged areas, ARGUS being one of them. Read article. Last year ARGUS was ranked 47 on the ICIC list.
